Charles Mfouapon is the founder of AfriScore, a B2B SaaS credit decisioning layer built to enable financial institutions to lend to credit-invisible populations across Africa. He leads product, engineering, and regulatory strategy.
His work sits at the intersection of financial regulation, quantitative risk modeling, and distributed systems. He holds a Master of Science in Law and Finance from the University of Oxford, where he was selected as a Mastercard Foundation AfOx Scholar, and is currently completing a Master of Science in Financial Engineering at WorldQuant University.
He founded AfriScore after years of research into alternative-data credit scoring and the structural barriers that keep 300 million African adults invisible to formal credit systems.
